Masks, croquet, and love
It is Tuesday, December 9, and yesterday's big flag project has been handed over to the creative design elves.
"We can't be good at everything," says Nille with a laugh. "But if we help each other with what we each do best, the world will be a little better."
The others nod. "Just like in Nr. Lyndelse," says Nova. "There, they also help each other, and they really want to be part of the community."
The elves begin to tell Santa Claus about No. Lyndelse:
"In this small, cozy area, they have started a knitting club this year," Nabi says proudly. "They help each other—with dropped stitches, new patterns, and lots of laughter along the way."
"There's nothing like a homemade scarf," Nova says dreamily. "That's what I want for Christmas."
Niels smiles. "And for those who aren't into knitting needles, there's croquet! It's become a hit—young and old play together, and everyone can join in."
“It’s a bit like weaving Christmas hearts,” adds Nova. “You need time and patience—but it always turns out beautifully in the end.”
She glances at Santa Claus. And this time, the corners of his mouth turn up into a small, warm smile. It's just a brief moment—but it feels like a huge step forward. 🎅❤️
